This presentation is free, but space is limited so registration is required. See below for details.

If only they could speak, we say of dogs--but really, if you watch closely, they do! Bette Yip of Picture Perfect Pets will talk about the subtle body language signals dogs use & how to interpret them specifically in the context of dogs greeting or playing with one another in order to know when it's time to end the interaction before it goes badly.

This presentation is open to all dog lovers! Space is limited, however, so please register to attend and let us know how many people you'll be bringing. (This event is for humans, only. Sorry, dogs! We love you, but you'll have to sit this one out.)

Bette Yip will go over what to look for when our dogs are interacting with other dogs. We'll categorize canine body language signals into green light, yellow light and red light signals.

Green light meaning, "I'm having a great time interacting with you and would like to continue." Yellow light meaning, "I need some space, please. Would you please back off a bit?" Red light meaning, "I need space desperately! Back off now, or else!"

Knowing what to look for will help you to decide when enough is enough as your dog greets or plays with other dogs, helping you to avoid the danger of a dog fight!

This presentation will not go into behavior modification techniques designed to help dogs learn how to interact with other dogs, however, Bette Yip does offer private training to that end if you are in need of help. You can contact her directly for more information.

This event is free, but space is limited, so registration is required.

Click here to register to attend "Reading Canine Body Language to Prevent Dog Fights" presented by Bette Yip on October 1st from 1:00 to 2:30 pm at Pawwtopia's Doggy Daycamp located at 5 Forest St. in Arlington, MA.
