Small Animal Massage

Dogs, cats and other small animals benefit from massage in the same ways that humans do. The same techniques are used, modified for the anatomy and physiology of small animals. As with humans, professional training ensures that these techniques are applied safely and effectively to your pet.

Reiki Healing

Lively Dog offers Reiki healing for wellness and an improved relationship with your pet.

‘Reiki’ is Japanese for ‘universal energy’. A Reiki practitioner channels this Universal Life Energy in order to achieve the highest healing good within the receiver.

It is a complementary form of healing that supports the body’s ability to heal itself, relieves pain, and promotes relaxation. Reiki can be used in conjunction with any other form of treatment, medical or veterinary.

Reiki healing sessions- for all animals and their humans. Discounts are available if you schedule your sessions together.

Behavioral consultations- I will help you determine if massage or Reiki can be helpful in dealing with your animal’s issue.

Sessions are available at Picture Perfect Pets in Arlington, MA and Pawstonian in South Boston, or I will travel to your home where your animal is most comfortable.

About Me

Lisa Ruthig is a certified second-level Reiki practitioner in the Usui tradition. She attends the Bancroft School of Massage Therapy Small Animal Massage program and will graduate at the end of September. This is a 200 hour training program, with in-depth instruction in canine and feline anatomy, animal behavior, and advanced massage techniques. Lisa shares her life with two terrier mixes, Fergus and Smitty.
