More About This Class Ever wish your dog would give you a clear signal when they "need to go"--and save you from cleaning up messes? It's easier than you may think to teach your dog to ring a bell to let you know when they need to go potty. In this class, you'll learn how to do just that! REQUIRED SCHOOL SUPPLY: Bring a bell! You can choose either a hotel service bell, or a hanging jingle bell type bell on a ribbon. Keep in mind your own dog's needs and the space where you'll keep your bell. If you have a dog that swallows objects whole, you'll probably want a hotel service bell or a GIANT jingle bell. If you have a cramped exit space, a hanging bell may be a better choice. If in doubt, bring one of each! Service bells can often be bought at office supply stores, and bells to hang can usually be found at craft stores like Michael's. Be sure to choose a bell that isn't difficult for your dog to move, and that doesn't frighten them. (A giant cowbell for a small dog probably won't be the best choice!) This class is open to dogs of all ages. If your dog is uncomfortable with other dogs or people, please consult with Bette prior to signing up for this class. Private training may be a better option to begin with for such dogs, and some of these dogs may progress to a group environment on a case by case basis, at Bette's discretion.
